What Stocks Is Congress Buying Right Now?

Politician Stock Tracker

Investors often ask what stocks Congress is buying right now—not one headline trade, but where multiple lawmakers are putting disclosed capital to work. Our latest aggregate view shows 14 tickers that cleared a shared-buying threshold in a rolling 90-day window from public STOCK Act filings.

The short answer

A stock lands on our stocks congress is buying list when at least three different members disclosed purchases of the same ticker inside that 90-day window. That filters out one active trader repeating buys and highlights names with broad disclosed interest across the Hill.

Right now, the standouts are:

What this list is—and is not

What we measure

  • Disclosed stock purchases from House PTR, Senate periodic reports, and applicable OGE filings.
  • Transaction dates inside a rolling 90-day window (not filing dates).
  • A conviction filter: three or more unique politicians on the same ticker.

What we do not claim

  • This is not a buy recommendation. Filings can lag trades by weeks.
  • Amounts are disclosure ranges, not exact share counts.
  • Members may have sold the same ticker elsewhere; this list is buy-side only.

MSFT appears on both buying and selling lists in our data—a reminder that congressional flow is not one-directional on popular large caps.

How this differs from “most traded”

Our most traded stocks by Congress ranking counts total trade activity (buys and sells, including repeat trades by one member). The buying list here requires multiple politicians on the same ticker—a narrower read on shared disclosed demand.
