Privacy Policy

Politician Stock Tracker ("we", "us", or "our") operates politicianstocktracker.com. This policy explains what personal information we collect, why we collect it, and how we handle it.

Information we collect

We currently collect personal information in two main ways:

1. Account registration

If you create an account, we collect the information needed to authenticate you — typically your email address and account credentials. This lets you sign in and access features that are not available to anonymous visitors.

2. Email sign-ups

If you voluntarily submit your email address — for example, to subscribe to our newsletter or to register interest in API access — we store that address so we can send you the updates you asked for.

We may also collect standard technical and usage information when you use the site, such as pages visited, browser type, and general interaction data. We use this to understand how the site is used and to improve it.

We do not currently process payments or collect billing information on this site.

Politician and market data

Much of the content on Politician Stock Tracker is derived from public official disclosure filings — including STOCK Act reports and related congressional and executive-branch financial disclosures. We aggregate, organize, and present that information to make it easier to browse and analyze.

That politician and trading data comes from public sources. It is not private user data, but we process and display it as part of the service. We aim to reflect the underlying filings accurately, but we do not guarantee completeness or real-time accuracy.

How we use information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Provide and maintain your account
  • Send newsletters or product updates you have requested
  • Operate, secure, and improve the website
  • Understand aggregate usage patterns

We do not sell your personal information.

How we store and protect information

Account data is handled through our authentication provider. Email sign-ups are stored in our database. We take reasonable steps to protect information, but no online service can guarantee absolute security.

Third-party services

We may use third-party services to host the site, authenticate users, store data, and measure usage (for example, analytics tools). Those providers process information on our behalf according to their own policies.

Your choices

You can choose not to create an account and not to submit your email. If you have an account, you may contact us to request account deletion. If you are on a mailing list, you can ask to be removed at any time.

Children

This site is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.

Changes

We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date at the top of this page.
